How big a group can your camp handle?
We have 14 cabins, but one serves as a nurse's station. There are 8 cabins for girls and 5 for boys. Each cabin sleeps 12, for a total of about 160. Plus, we have the retreat center making the total number roughly 175.
Can you tell me more about the retreat center?
Absolutely. The retreat center has a spacious common room and kitchen area that separates two sleeping/bath areas at either end. There are currently 15 beds and three couches. A large deck opens off the back, overlooking the camp beneath the cool shade of several oak and hickory trees. It's a perfect facility for a small to medium-sized church or group retreat. Click on "use the camp" for more info.
How do I get involved with Summer Camp?
If you're age K-12 that would like to attend Summer Camp, we'd love to have you. Our Partner Churches typically come to camp in the summer. You can see the list by clicking "partner churches." We encourage you to check one out close to you. If you're an adult that is interested in bringing a group to summer camp, please contact us, and we'll be happy to discuss it with you. If your church is one of our member churches, please talk to your youth minister about being a sponsor for church camp this summer - sponsors attend camp for free and are a great blessing to the programming.
How do I know which camp my child will be going to?
Your child will always attend the week of camp that represents the grade that he or she is GOING INTO that fall. A child may attend a week of camp that is a year younger than they are, but children are not allowed to attend a higher grade's week of camp.
What rental options are available for the camp?
We allow rental of the entire camp. If your group desires, we will also rent the dining hall/kitchen facility, allowing your group to prepare their own meals. For smaller groups, we have the retreat center. Click on "use the camp" to see pricing.
If we want to use the pool, do we have to provide a certified lifeguard?
Yes, your group MUST provide a CERTIFIED lifeguard (or EMT) in order to use the pool.
Do we have to provide a nurse?
A nurse is provided for summer camp. If your group is renting the camp for a week or more, you are required to provide a nurse. The nurse does not have to be an actual RN, but they must have EMT Training.
Can my church become a member church?
We would love to discuss the possibility with you. Please contact us for more information.
What if I have more questions?
You can always contact us for more information or to schedule a tour. We'd love to answer any questions you have. Also make sure you read the "Rent the Camp" page for more details.
